About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship with TSG Support Services for the 2027 legislative session. You will work directly with professional lobbyists to assist with high-profile legislation. The role requires being physically present in our Columbia, South Carolina office.
What you'll do#
You will help track legislation and monitor committee meetings throughout the session. Your daily work includes:
- Counting votes and conducting issue research.
- Drafting and analyzing bills and amendments.
- Writing committee summaries and disseminating legislative information.
- Maintaining legislative calendars for lobbyists.
- Scheduling meetings with leaders in the executive and legislative branches.
- Generating reports for clients and lobbyists.
- Assisting with lobby days and legislative events.
- Handling miscellaneous office operational needs and interacting with clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university degree program or graduation within the last twelve months.
- A focus in Political Science is preferred.
- The ability to be physically present in the Columbia office.
- Strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn.
- Professionalism in all interactions and the ability to work independently on projects.
