Research & Operations Intern / Senior Fall Risk Initiative

About the role#

TruBlue of Flower Mound is seeking a Research & Operations Intern to support the Senior Fall Risk Reduction Initiative. This program focuses on identifying home-based fall hazards and building a data-driven model to support aging-in-place. This is a part-time, research-focused position ideal for students or graduates interested in public health, healthcare administration, gerontology, nursing, or related fields.

What you'll do#

• Organize FRI assessment records, including photos, risk factors, and follow-up notes.
• Maintain a structured database of assessment results and classify common home safety risks.
• Research potential medical advisors, PT/OT professionals, and community organizations, creating contact lists and summarizing candidate relevance.
• Assist with scheduling FRI assessments and preparing customer-facing assessment summaries.
• Support the development of a Senior Fall Risk Reduction White Paper by organizing data, findings, and drafting charts or case summaries.
• Assist with outreach preparation and follow-up communication.

What you'll need#

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize information clearly and consistently.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel, Google Docs/Word, and online research tools.
• Good written English communication skills.
• A strong interest in senior care, public health, healthcare, aging-in-place, or occupational/physical therapy.
• Preferred: Current student or graduate in Public Health, Nursing, Health Administration, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Business Administration.

• Commitment: Part-time, 10–15 hours per week.
