About the role#
TROIKA is hiring a Human Resources Co-op student for a 4-8 month contract in Kelowna, British Columbia. This full-time, on-site position offers practical experience in a professional real estate environment. You will work under the guidance of experienced HR professionals to support daily operations and various HR initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Assist with recruitment by posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and checking references.
- Manage onboarding tasks such as preparing offer letters, running orientation sessions, and processing paperwork.
- Keep employee records accurate and current within the HRIS.
- Support benefits enrollment and handle related employee inquiries.
- Provide administrative help for employee relations, including performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Coordinate training sessions and professional development programs.
- Help ensure compliance with internal HR policies and WorkSafe regulations.
- Perform general office duties like filing, scanning, and mail distribution.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program for Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
- A fundamental understanding of HR principles and regulations.
- 1-2 years of experience in HR administration, preferably within real estate or construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail for data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills to interact with employees at all levels.

- Compensation: $21.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience.
