About the role#
TRIUMF is seeking a student to join the Human Resources team for the Winter 2027 term. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in a large research laboratory while supporting major HR projects. You will work on tasks related to talent attraction and HR programs, with a focus on administrative support and information systems.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Talent Attraction team by scheduling interviews, collecting reference letters, and corresponding with candidates.
- Review recruitment processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Support the HR Programs group by fielding staff inquiries and calculating absence balances.
- Prepare employment confirmation and invitation letters.
- Maintain employee files and update data within the HRIS system.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop workflow logic for HR practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships.
- A basic understanding of document management is an asset.
- Experience with MS SharePoint, OneDrive, or Workday is an asset.

- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 06, 2027, to April 30, 2027).
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: Paid position ranging from $2,815 to $4,238 per month, including 4% vacation pay.
