About the role#
As a Commercial Strategy Summer Associate, you will join project teams alongside staff and leadership to address strategic business issues. This 9-week program offers exposure to the life sciences industry, ranging from small biotech firms to large pharmaceutical and medical technology companies. You will receive formal and informal training, along with mentorship to help grow your analytical and communication skills.
What you'll do#
- Conduct secondary research using healthcare databases to inform analyses on drug pricing, clinical pipelines, and marketplace dynamics.
- Use analytical tools, such as forecast models, to support client decision-making.
- Coordinate and conduct primary market research with physicians, patients, payers, and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Interpret, analyze, and synthesize clinical, scientific, and business data to present findings to project teams and clients.
- Develop presentations and other outputs to support client deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Business Administration, Economics, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Status as a rising senior or a student with one year remaining in your studies.
- Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- A strong interest in the life sciences field.
- Ability to manage time effectively while working on multiple projects.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site internship based in Waltham, Massachusetts.
- The program runs from June 14 to August 13, 2027.
- Compensation is $35 per hour.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
