Bilingual School Based Therapist Intern

About the role#

Trilogy is seeking a Bilingual School Based Therapist Intern to provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to students in elementary, middle, and high schools. This role involves delivering strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed clinical services to children and adolescents managing mental health diagnoses and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. You will provide services both in-person and via telehealth within partner schools throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbs.

What you'll do#

• Provide comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments for children, adolescents, and their families.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the client and their support team.
• Coordinate care by collaborating with school personnel to ensure high-quality treatment.
• Advocate for clients by linking them to community services and assessing their personal, medical, social, emotional, and environmental needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charts in compliance with Medicaid, CARF, and agency standards.

What you'll need#

• A completed Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English.
• Prior experience working with children, adolescents, and their families.
• Ability to pass the IM+CANS exam within one month of your start date.
• Availability to attend weekly team meetings and group consultations on Tuesday mornings, and biweekly bilingual intern clinical consultation groups on Monday mornings.
