Trilogy is seeking an Art Therapist Intern to provide individual, family, and group therapy, as well as case management, to clients aged 6 and older. This role involves delivering person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care to individuals diagnosed with mental health and substance use disorders. The intern will work across outpatient clinics in Chicago and receive weekly supervision from an ATR-BC licensed clinician.
What you'll do#
- Provide comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment services to youth, young adults, adults, and their families.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, their providers, and natural supports.
- Deliver clinical services using a strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach.
- Co-facilitate group therapy sessions alongside the program Art Therapist.
- Advocate for clients by assessing their personal, medical, social, emotional, and environmental situations to link them with necessary community services.
- Maintain documentation and clinical charts in compliance with Medicaid, CARF, and agency standards.
- Participate in regular individual supervision and group consultations.
What you'll need#
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
- Current enrollment in a Master’s level Art Therapy program.
- Previous experience working with youth, young adults, adults, and families.
- Availability to work evenings and attend weekly meetings on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
- Ability to pass the IM+CANS exam within one month of the start date.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred but not required.
