About the role#
Tri-State Iron & Metal Co. is hiring an AP Clerk Intern to support our accounting and administrative operations. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, averaging 20 hours per week. You will work on-site in Texarkana, Arkansas, with occasional travel to satellite locations for internal audits.
What you'll do#
- Manage and complete assigned accounting and administrative projects.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed by the accounting and executive teams.
- Maintain immaculate records and files.
- Conduct inventory counts on the production yard.
- Perform internal audit functions at satellite locations.
- Use standard office equipment and assist with errands as needed.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Ability to maintain composure and professional conduct.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Common sense and high ethical standards.
- No history of financial crimes such as theft or fraud.
- Previous experience in public or private accounting is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk up to 3 miles daily.
- Ability to climb ladders over 20 feet.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Hours: Typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional Saturday work.
