About the role#
Trex Company is looking for a Quality Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Winchester, Virginia. You will work alongside engineers and quality professionals to support our manufacturing and improvement efforts.
What you'll do#
- Collect data and perform structured analysis to support engineering tasks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the quality department.
- Conduct time studies of current processes to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
- Streamline how the department collects and stores data.
- Build tools for the automatic, real-time reporting of quality data.
- Monitor tasks to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
- Complete additional projects as assigned by the quality manager or director.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited engineering program (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace, Biomedical, or Environmental Engineering).
- Completion of at least two semesters of college coursework.
- Standing as an upcoming Junior or Senior.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
