About the role#
Trex Company is hiring a Distribution and Transportation Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Winchester, Virginia. You will work within our supply chain operations to support distribution projects and process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through key areas of the distribution facility, including shipping, inventory control, receiving, and kitting production.
- Create process maps and conduct time studies to support operations.
- Use lean tools to drive process improvement.
- Analyze data and present findings to identify ways to improve distribution workflows.
- Provide general support for ongoing distribution projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program for Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Transportation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Status as an upcoming junior.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- A willingness to learn, accept mentorship, and provide or receive constructive feedback.
