About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for law students. You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with Travelers Staff Counsel attorneys, support staff, and business partners. The program runs for ten to twelve weeks between June 2027 and August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research to support active cases.
- Prepare discovery materials.
- Draft briefs and motions.
- Observe legal proceedings across various court settings.
- Attend depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Sit in on court appearances, hearings, and trials.
- Receive feedback on your assignments from experienced staff.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently enrolled in an accredited law school.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Chicago, Illinois, and Downers Grove, Illinois.
- This is a full-time, 40-hour per week role.
- Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.
