About the role#
The Claim Professional Development Program (CPDP) Internship offers an introduction to the insurance industry. You will gain business experience by working directly with clients, scoping losses, and estimating damages. This is a full-time, paid position that provides on-the-job training and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Complete structured onboarding to learn Travelers systems and protocols.
- Handle Personal and Business Insurance claims of basic to moderate complexity.
- Investigate, negotiate, and resolve claims while estimating damages and determining coverage.
- Communicate with customers through verbal and written channels.
- Observe Claim Professionals through desk and ride-alongs.
- Work with a designated manager or mentor on core assignments.
- Develop your customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Complete project work.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing one.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Majors such as Business Administration or other related disciplines are preferred.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
