About the role#
This co-op position involves participating in engineering projects and making job-related decisions. You will solve engineering problems using established practices and communicate technical information to internal and external teams. You will work toward a design schedule with consistent manager interaction.
What you'll do#
- Design structures, systems, and components using 3D CAD software.
- Create drawings, CNC files, bills of material, and design documentation.
- Process engineering change orders and maintain product data management tools.
- Perform engineering calculations using pre-defined methods.
- Assist with the setup and execution of functional, load, strain gauge, accelerated, and field testing.
- Review the quality of basic designs and implement changes to improve the safety, quality, delivery, and cost of products.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program with a focus on drafting, design, or engineering.
- Basic knowledge of 3D CAD software.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
