About the role#
The Commercial Partnership Intern will support the TRD Commercial Partnership team with communications, partnership management, and business development. This role provides hands-on experience in sports marketing, client relations, and digital content distribution within professional motorsports. You will work alongside cross-functional departments to craft stories, support brand partner activations, research business development opportunities, and track communications performance.
What you'll do#
- Create and manage email marketing tools, including design layout, content scheduling, editorial creation, and the approval process.
- Set up and manage audience databases using email marketing and CRM software.
- Gather stories and content from various TRD departments.
- Assist the Commercial Team with client performance reporting, including compiling metrics and proofreading presentations.
- Support the development of partner case studies.
- Collaborate on the creation of new materials such as at-track itineraries, gifting, and merchandise.
- Manage interactive digital presentation platforms.
- Assist the Business Development team with industry research and prospecting.
- Provide at-track and special event support, including guest management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor’s degree program as a rising senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Sports Management, or Journalism.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Proficiency with MS Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with limited supervision.
- Willingness to travel if necessary and work select weekends or holidays.
- Must be located in Indiana.
Location & details#
- Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May-August).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week for 12 weeks.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
