About the role#
Townsquare Media offers an educational internship program in Albany designed to provide hands-on exposure to the radio broadcasting and digital media industry. You will observe daily operations and participate in the day-to-day work of our radio stations and digital platforms. This role provides a behind-the-scenes look at how a modern media company operates across broadcast, digital marketing, promotions, and sales.
What you'll do#
- Observe daily operations across radio broadcasting and digital media teams.
- Learn how traditional, non-traditional, and digital marketing solutions are developed and executed.
- Gain exposure to content creation, promotions, advertising, and digital platforms.
- Assist with various department projects and initiatives as appropriate.
- Develop an understanding of how media campaigns are planned, launched, and evaluated.
- Network with media professionals and gain career insights.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You must be a resident of New York State or currently attending school in New York State.
- You must be a first-time participant in the Townsquare Media internship program.
- A strong interest in radio broadcasting, digital media, marketing, or communications.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a professional environment.
- A proactive approach to gaining new skills and experiences.
Location & details#
- Location: Albany, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $16 per hour.
- Schedule: Typically 10 to 20 hours per week, with schedules agreed upon in advance to accommodate academic commitments.
- Term: Rolling.
