About the role#
TotalBond Veterinary Hospital offers a Veterinary Technician Student Externship and Preceptorship Program for students currently enrolled in an accredited Veterinary Technician program. This program provides practical, hands-on experience in a contemporary clinical setting to help students prepare for their careers after graduation. Interns work alongside veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to gain exposure to routine and emergency veterinary care.
What you'll do#
- Assist with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Administer medications and vaccinations.
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures.
- Conduct laboratory tests including bloodwork and urinalysis.
- Take radiographs.
- Provide care for hospitalized animals.
- Educate pet owners on preventive care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Veterinary Technician program.
