About the role#
As a Supply Chain Summer Intern, you will work under the leadership of a Supply Chain Manager to learn about manufacturing processes, operations, and product applications. This internship provides hands-on experience working alongside professionals on a variety of projects within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Complete a Green Belt Project.
- Support procurement activities and sourcing tasks, including managing Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotes (RFQ).
- Evaluate new supplier qualifications based on delivery, quality, and cost metrics.
- Assist in the preparation of negotiation strategies.
- Identify cost savings opportunities within the current supply chain and analyze potential new supplier relationships.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a culturally diverse team.
- Willingness to work in a plant environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Foundational knowledge of procurement processes.
