    About the role#

    The Software Engineering Intern will support the G6 software team with current project testing, documentation, and software development. Key projects include the MVD Touch Screen, RD&E Dashboard, and various AI/Automation initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on engineering experience while working directly with professionals in a team environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Design, write, code, and document programs for embedded CPU systems.
    • Write source code using C, Python, and JavaScript.
    • Test and debug embedded code using debuggers, emulators, and target systems.
    • Modify and test code written by others using various editors and compilers.
    • Collaborate with engineers to deliver project success, including working with firmware, peripheral electrical circuits, and computer systems.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Software Engineering or Software Technology program at an accredited college or university.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
    • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
    • Experience or familiarity with Linux, automated testing, and web design.

    Location & details#

    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Location: Northwest Houston, TX.
    • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
    • Terms: This is a paid, rolling internship.
