This internship supports the enhancement and AI enablement of the Medium Voltage Motors (MVM) quotation tool. You will act as a bridge between engineering users and the development team, helping to refine a platform that consolidates engineering documents and product catalogs. This role focuses on understanding engineering workflows, analyzing data, and preparing datasets for future AI-assisted quoting capabilities.
What you'll do#
- Support UQE enhancements by validating new features, catalog updates, and workflow changes through structured testing and feedback.
- Learn quoting processes, motor configuration rules, and engineering requirements that influence the tool’s logic by working directly with Application Engineers.
- Assist with data organization, cleanup, and structuring to prepare datasets for future AI and automation projects.
- Document engineering workflows, decision rules, exception handling, and motor attribute mappings.
- Translate engineering feedback into clear and actionable requirements for the development team.
- Track enhancement requests, identify defects, and verify development fixes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, product, and IT stakeholders to support continuous improvement.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field at an accredited college or university.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in AI, automation, data-driven systems, or engineering tools.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with both engineering and software development teams.
- High attention to detail and experience working with structured datasets, spreadsheets, and process documentation.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a culturally diverse engineering environment.
