About the role#
The Linguistic Services team ensures the accuracy and consistency of terminology and bilingual communications across TMX Group. As an intern, you will contribute to this strategic function by translating documentation and supporting the team in maintaining high standards for our internal and external partners. You will work in a hybrid environment where you will manage translation tasks and collaborate with colleagues across various business areas.
What you'll do#
- Translate daily corporate action bulletins published by the Canadian Depository for Securities.
- Update and expand the internal terminological database.
- Align documents within the Phrase translation memory tool.
- Support the Linguistic Services manager and team members with special projects and specific tasks.
- Participate in the Business Continuity Plan as needed.
- Build professional relationships with colleagues and clients while promoting language professions within the company.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student in Translation (English to French).
- Perfect command of written French and a thorough knowledge of English.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in both languages.
- Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
- High level of efficiency, autonomy, and responsibility.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional integrity.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with minimal guidance.
- Computer proficiency and a desire to learn new skills quickly.
- Interest in financial and securities sectors translation.
- Knowledge of computer-assisted translation tools such as Phrase, Studio GroupShare, or LogiTerm.
Location & details#
- Location: Montreal, Quebec.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 4 to April 30, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid (2 to 3 days per week in the office).
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
- Note: Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada as we do not provide sponsorship.
