About the role#
Threemile Canyon Farms offers a hands-on irrigation internship focused on large-scale farming operations. You will work across 460 center pivots covering over 52,000 acres. This role allows you to choose your own path based on your interests, with the option to focus on one or several operational areas. You will also complete a special project directed by the Irrigation or IT manager before your term ends.
What you'll do#
- Operate irrigation systems.
- Perform welding tasks and pump maintenance.
- Assist with pipe system design and solid modeling.
- Engage in computer programming and network engineering.
- Work on industrial automation and low voltage electrical tasks.
Location & details#
- Location: Boardman, Oregon.
- Schedule: 50+ hours per week, including occasional weekends.
- Duration: At least 8 weeks, with flexible start dates based on your academic calendar.
- Compensation: $14.55 per hour plus a $10,000 scholarship upon successful completion.
- Housing: May be provided based on availability.
