About the role#
Threemile Canyon Farms offers a hands-on internship focused on large-scale farming operations. You will work across 52,726 irrigated acres near the Columbia River. This role provides on-the-job training and requires a commitment of at least 8 weeks, with the possibility of extending your time here. We pay $14.55 per hour and offer a $10,000 scholarship upon successful completion of the program. Qualified interns may be invited back for a second season or considered for a full-time supervisor role after graduation.
What you'll do#
You will help gather data that informs our weekly fertilizer and spraying schedules. Your daily tasks include:
- Collecting soil and plant tissue samples.
- Scouting for pests in potatoes, alfalfa, corn, carrots, green beans, and onions.
- Performing water sampling.
- Assisting with other crops as needed.
- Traveling occasionally to our other farm locations.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current college student pursuing a degree in Agriculture.
- We look for individuals who are reliable and interested in returning for future seasons.

- This position is based in Boardman, Oregon.
- Work is on-site and requires 50+ hours per week, including occasional weekend shifts.
- Housing may be available depending on current occupancy.
