About the role#
We are looking for a Product Intern to join our Chicago team. You will gain hands-on experience working at the intersection of product, business, technology, and data. This role is for someone who is commercially minded, analytical, and curious about how digital products are built, evaluated, and improved. You will work closely with Product, Business, and Technology teams to help identify opportunities, solve business problems, and support product initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Research and evaluate new product opportunities and business initiatives.
- Analyze customer behavior, product performance, and business data to identify trends.
- Conduct market and competitor research to find commercial opportunities.
- Support product discovery by gathering insights from customers and stakeholders.
- Help translate business needs into clear product requirements and recommendations.
- Assist with product presentations, business cases, and reports.
- Work with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to support initiatives from discovery through delivery.
- Assess potential features based on customer value, commercial impact, and data.
- Use analytical thinking and basic statistics to investigate problems.
- Stay informed on developments across fintech, financial markets, and AI.
- Contribute ideas to improve our products and customer experience.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or MBA in Business, Economics, Finance, Strategy, Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with numbers and basic statistics.
- A strong commercial mindset and an interest in how products create value.
- Ability to translate information into clear insights and recommendations.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- A curious and proactive approach, with comfort in asking questions and challenging assumptions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Interest in digital products, fintech, and technology-driven businesses.
- Comfort collaborating across Product, Business, and Technology teams.
- Previous internship or project experience in banking, financial services, fintech, consulting, or business analysis is a plus.
