About the role#
The Student Data Operations & Reporting Specialist develops the strategy and facilitates the steps required to complete timely, accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders. This role ensures the organization remains compliant with student data reporting requirements as outlined by state and federal grants. You will report to the Director of Student Data and work closely with IT and regional operations to optimize workflows and troubleshoot system issues.
What you'll do#
- Maintain compliance with all grants and regulatory standards for student data reports.
- Develop processes to produce reports and maintain documentation for audits.
- Coordinate the collection, validation, and uploading of student data into the system.
- Lead communication with district partners regarding student data sharing.
- Collaborate with IT to optimize data integration workflows.
- Design and implement strategies to meet reporting requirements in alignment with compliance standards.
- Monitor data integrity and ensure accurate information is maintained in the system.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience with data management systems and analytical tools.
- Proficiency in using Student Information Systems (SIS) and data management software.
- Strong knowledge of data management, policy enforcement, and grant compliance reporting.
- Ability to interpret changes in education code and state or federal laws.
- Strong project management and communication skills to liaise with district partners.
- Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Suite, and video conferencing tools.
