About the role#
The Mechanical Engineering Co-op is a full-time, on-site position based in Rochester, New York. This program serves as a pipeline for future leadership talent within the organization. You will work standard Monday through Friday hours in an office and manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Develop, implement, and maintain methods and sequences for the manufacture of parts, components, and final assemblies.
- Coordinate with design engineering teams to support the release of new products.
- Estimate manufacturing costs and establish time standards.
- Provide recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines.
- Maintain records and reporting systems to coordinate manufacturing operations.
- Assist with automated systems and New Product Introduction projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Proven leadership experience through campus organizations, athletics, volunteer work, or military service.
- A history of influencing others, driving results, and navigating complex problems.
- Strong learning agility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Previous internship or work experience is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site and maintain geographic mobility for future career opportunities.
Location & details#
- Location: Rochester, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $21.50 - $28.75 per hour.
- Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. A reliable mode of transportation is required.
