About the role#
This Industrial Engineering Co-op position is designed to serve as a pipeline for future leadership talent. You will work on-site in Rochester, New York, focusing on projects that improve productivity and operational efficiency. This is a full-time, paid role that requires geographic mobility and flexibility for both this assignment and potential future opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Perform time studies to suggest improvements for productivity, efficiency, and labor utilization.
- Develop Operator Standard Work Instructions.
- Lead and support scrap reduction projects.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects, including Kaizens.
- Design ergonomically acceptable part presentation material handling devices.
- Support Supply Chain projects related to material flow implementation.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Previous related co-op, internship, or work experience is preferred.
- Proven leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, community service, military service, or other campus programs.
- A track record of influencing others, leading initiatives, and driving results.
- Ability to solve complex problems and navigate ambiguity.
- Demonstrated grit, resilience, and curiosity.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

- Location: Rochester, New York, USA.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $21.50 to $28.75 per hour.
- Relocation: A $5,000 net stipend is available for students living 50 or more miles from the work location.
