About the role#
The Media Studies department at the University of Tulsa is looking for a work-study student to provide administrative support to faculty. You will help with daily tasks, manage office equipment, and keep shared spaces organized to ensure the department runs smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Copy, scan, and collate faculty documents.
- Type and format documents.
- Enter data and maintain electronic records.
- Pick up and deliver departmental mail and packages.
- Keep the lobby, copy room, and mail room organized.
- Monitor printer supplies and restock paper.
- Troubleshoot basic printer issues and clear paper jams.
- Set up and break down equipment for faculty presentations.
- Provide general clerical support like filing and stapling.
- Report supply shortages or equipment issues to the department coordinator.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at the University of Tulsa.
- Eligibility for work-study employment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Basic knowledge of how to operate copiers and scanners.
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 25 lbs.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

- This role is located on-site in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
- The position is part-time and follows a rolling term.
