About the role#
The Office of Institutional Advancement is seeking a student worker to support alumni relations, annual giving, and special events. This role provides administrative, event, and marketing support to help create experiences for alumni, donors, and campus partners.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Alumni Engagement, Annual Giving, Advancement, and Special Events teams.
- Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of campus programs, including Homecoming, athletic events, and donor gatherings.
- Prepare event materials such as nametags, place cards, invitations, mailings, and donor gifts.
- Support event setup and guest services, including assisting alumni and volunteers.
- Maintain and organize files, databases, inventories, and event materials.
- Assist with social media content, website updates, and marketing materials.
- Conduct research and support special projects as assigned.
- Provide front-facing customer service by greeting guests and assisting with inquiries.
What you'll need#
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interact with alumni, donors, and university leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, flexible attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to work occasionally in the evenings and weekends for events.
