About the role#
The Technical Services Student Assistant supports the library by completing various departmental tasks and projects. This role reports to the Director of Technical Services. Please note that this position does not offer evening or weekend hours.
What you'll do#
- Manage online database maintenance projects.
- Search for and pull library materials.
- Use spreadsheets to organize data.
- Move equipment, books, book carts, and boxes.
- Assist with special projects and general library tasks.
- Perform physical tasks such as moving loaded carts or dollies, standing on step stools, and stooping or sitting on the floor.
What you'll need#
- Self-motivation to manage and keep up with ongoing projects.
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff, students, and library patrons.
- Reliability in maintaining a set schedule.
