About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship based in Beatrice, Nebraska. You will join the Exmark division to support the qualification of prototype machines. This role requires on-site attendance from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Work with a multi-discipline team to qualify prototype machines before they enter production.
- Assist with the development of test plans.
- Perform test setups, which includes building prototypes, setting up instrumentation, and creating fixtures.
- Collect, analyze, and document test results, including conducting failure analysis.
- Collaborate across different business functions to support team goals.
- Gain hands-on experience with tools like data acquisition equipment, thermal imaging, accelerometers, sound level meters, strain gauges, LabVIEW, and Creo.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on work experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience working with test instrumentation.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
