About the role#
The Advanced Quality Engineering Intern will work with the Advanced Quality Engineering Team at our headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota. This position supports product development teams, suppliers, and manufacturing plants for both new and existing products. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term, running from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and deployment of new product quality plans, processes, and systems.
- Streamline Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes, including managing PPAP and developing APQP dashboards.
- Track corrective and preventive action (CAPA) and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to establish product design and manufacturing quality requirements.
- Engage in the New Product Development (NPD) process.
- Collect, analyze, and report quality data to support decision-making.
- Assess product conformance by performing validation audits and pursuing corrective actions on non-conformances.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited 4-year engineering program in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field.
- Junior status with at least two years of school completed.
- A graduation date no sooner than December 2027.
- Enrollment in an educational program for the entire duration of the internship.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- A background in technology is preferred.
