About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based at our Ditch Witch facility in Perry, Oklahoma. The program runs from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. You must be available for the entire duration of the program. This role is on-site and does not offer visa sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Design solutions or improvements for underground construction equipment and processes.
- Support safety projects and manufacturing operations.
- Maintain plant layouts to assist with machine moves and cost reduction.
- Evaluate manufacturing and material handling processes for new parts.
- Support new part quoting and SAP routings.
- Conduct time studies for part processes.
- Assist quality engineering with print tolerances and process capability studies.
- Help with research and development for capital projects and equipment.
- Support problem-solving activities within Quality, Maintenance, and Lean operations.
- Provide regular verbal and written updates on project status.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar degree program at an ABET-accredited institution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Solidedge, Creo Parametric, and the Microsoft suite.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- A self-motivated and independent work style.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A desire to learn new skills and stay updated on new technologies.
