About the role#
As a Model Risk Management Intern, you will gain exposure to how DTCC identifies, measures, and manages model risk across the enterprise. You will support independent oversight of model risk activities and assist front-line units with the design, development, and implementation of models. This 10-week summer program includes orientation, training, mentorship, and project work.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, clean, and analyze data for model validation testing, benchmarking, and analytical reviews.
- Write validation scripts and build analytical tools using Python or R.
- Run validation tests to investigate model behavior, performance, and underlying assumptions.
- Document validation findings, conclusions, and supporting analysis for formal reports.
- Attend team meetings, research sessions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Business and Technology Management, MIS, or a related quantitative field.
- Expected graduation date in Spring 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Authorization to work permanently in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
