About the role#
This internship offers a hands-on introduction to the green industry. You will work alongside experienced arborists, climbers, and plant health care technicians. The role provides exposure to the daily operations and business components that power a successful residential tree care office, covering client service, sales, and management fundamentals.
What you'll do#
- Perform tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, and general maintenance.
- Assist with tree and landscape installation.
- Operate equipment safely, including chainsaws, chippers, and other field tools.
- Manage plant health through deep root fertilization, soil care, and integrated pest and disease management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program for Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry, or a related discipline.
- A valid driver license. A commercial driver license is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for proper plant care and a love for the outdoors.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Reliability and the ability to report to work on time.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
