About the role#
As a Mobile Software Engineer intern, you will assist experienced developers in maintaining and improving mobile software used by the Church. You will work on production-level projects, receive mentorship from IT professionals, and gain practical experience in a professional development environment.
What you'll do#
- Write and maintain code using Kotlin or Swift.
- Perform unit testing and debug software defects.
- Collaborate with project team members and stakeholders in meetings.
- Report on your progress and current activities.
- Work with databases and issue tracking systems.
- Engage in both individual and paired programming tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or graduation within the last year from an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Status as a temple-worthy member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
- Familiarity with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose or Swift and SwiftUI.
- A basic understanding of systems and subsystems.
- Strong communication skills for virtual team collaboration.
- Ability to demonstrate coding experience during the interview process.
Location & details#
- This internship is based in Riverton, Utah, with options for hybrid or remote work.
- The term lasts approximately 4 months, with start dates in Winter 2027 or Summer 2027.
- This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with core hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
