The Junior Technical Support Representative provides essential IT and administrative support to the BYU-Pathway Worldwide team. This part-time role focuses on maintaining smooth technology operations, managing equipment lifecycles, and assisting with financial tracking and Global Education Center (GEC) activities. The position reports to the Director of Technology Operations.
What you'll do#
- Order and manage equipment procurement for employees via the Service Catalog.
- Prepare, configure, and image computers for new and returning employees.
- Provide prompt troubleshooting assistance for IT issues, software setup, and conference room technology.
- Manage and track spending against budget forecasts and assist with financial reports and presentations.
- Provide administrative support including calendar management, meeting coordination, and drafting communications.
- Administer scheduling software for the Global Education Center and contribute to data reporting and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program such as Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Communications, or Cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and supporting various IT issues and infrastructure.
- Experience setting up and configuring computer hardware and software.
- Strong organizational skills to manage equipment inventories and support tasks.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management.
- Ability to provide basic technical training to peers.
- Preferred: Certifications such as Network+, Microsoft, ITIL Foundation, or Google IT Support Professional.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located at the BYU-Pathway Worldwide headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Candidates must be able to work on-site 1-3 days per week, typically Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Only members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who are worthy of a temple recommend qualify for this position.
