Assistant Assembly Video Editor - BYU-Pathway Worldwide (Full-Time Intern)

About the role#

Assistant Assembly Editor Interns support BYU-Pathway Worldwide’s video production and digital outreach efforts. This role focuses on the technical preparation and organization of large amounts of footage from interviews and global events, ensuring the video team can work efficiently to share stories about students and missionaries. This is a full-time, paid internship that offers experience in a professional marketing and communication environment.

What you'll do#

• Sync audio with video and organize A-roll and B-roll to create clean Adobe Premiere Pro project files.
• Build master timelines, sorting footage by topic, quality, speaker, and narrative usefulness.
• Generate accurate captions and transcripts, ensuring high standards for spelling, grammar, and terminology.
• Export master video files and manage content uploads to internal platforms.
• Maintain and organize project files and video libraries to ensure long-term accessibility.

What you'll need#

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and access to an active subscription.
• Strong planning, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively overcome obstacles.
• Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation for proofreading and captioning.
• Reliable high-speed internet access for managing large media files.
• Current enrollment in a degree program related to Marketing, Business, or Communications.
• Membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and current temple worthiness.
• Preferred: Experience with Adobe After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, or Illustrator, and language skills in Spanish, Portuguese, or French.

Location & details#

• Location: Salt Lake City, Utah (Must be a resident of Utah to qualify).
• Modality: Hybrid (requires occasional in-person work).
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
• Requirements: Candidates must submit a link to an online portfolio or video work samples with their application.
