Admissions Student Services Representative – BYU-Pathway Worldwide (Part-Time, Student Employee)

About the role#

Admissions Student Services Representatives provide support to BYU-Pathway Worldwide students. This is a part-time, remote student employee position. Employees are expected to work 15-20 hours per week during core department hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Additional hours may be required during peak service times, such as the beginning of new semesters.

What you'll do#

• Provide support to students and maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Participate in special projects and administrative duties.
• Support the Admissions Office by managing the evaluation of incoming transfer credits and academic records, including reviewing transcripts and ensuring accurate articulation of coursework.
• Handle sensitive academic data while maintaining strict compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
• Receive regular performance evaluations regarding policy adherence and service quality.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment at Ensign College, BYU-Pathway Worldwide, BYU, BYU-Idaho, or BYU-Hawaii (must be living in Utah or Idaho).
• High School Diploma, GED, or current enrollment in PathwayConnect.
• Ability to verbally communicate in a clear, concise manner with active listening skills and an empathetic nature.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is helpful.
• Must be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worthy of a temple recommend.
• Required home setup: A quiet workspace, a laptop or computer (no Chromebooks) with at least 4 GB of RAM, a 1024x768 (SVGA) screen, and reliable internet bandwidth (minimum 500 KBps upload/1 MBps download).

• This is a remote position based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
• Applicants must reside in Utah or Idaho to be eligible.
• Employees must be willing to travel to the BYU-Pathway Worldwide headquarters in Salt Lake City when requested by leadership.
• This position is authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
