About the role#
The Christman Company is hiring an Assistant Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 program. You will join our operations team to gain hands-on experience during project planning and construction phases. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Raleigh, North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and technical support to the project team.
- Manage document control, RFIs, submittals, cost tracking, and schedule updates.
- Summarize discussions from project team, owner, and subcontractor meetings.
- Review specification books to ensure project quality and compliance.
- Assist the Project Manager with identifying inspections, maintaining inspection logs, and scheduling visits.
- Update contract drawings to reflect approved changes.
- Support Superintendents with daily reports and manage progress and quality photos.
- Model safety awareness and support logistics for site-specific safety plans.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
