About the role#
As an Assistant Project Engineer Intern, you will support our operations team during the summer of 2027. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience with project planning and construction phases. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and technical support to the project team.
- Assist with RFIs, document control, submittals, cost tracking, and schedule updates.
- Help the Project Manager identify necessary inspections and manage the inspection schedule.
- Assist Superintendents with daily reports and manage progress and quality photos.
- Read and understand specification books to ensure project quality and compliance.
- Summarize discussions and decisions from project, owner, and subcontractor meetings.
- Update contract drawings to reflect approved changes.
- Support safety initiatives and model safety awareness on site.
What you'll need#
- You must be an active, full-time student at the sophomore, junior, or senior level.
- You should be pursuing a bachelor degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and background screening is required.
