About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works closely with the Store Manager to understand retail business operations and the requirements for effective management. This role focuses on delivering an enjoyable shopping experience through sales, merchandising, and operational tasks. Interns gain hands-on experience in leadership, recruiting, and visual merchandising while managing specific product categories and tracking performance metrics.
What you'll do#
- Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service throughout the store.
- Assist Guests with merchandise selection, fitting, and wardrobing needs.
- Process purchases, exchanges, and returns at the register.
- Maintain and share knowledge of current sales, promotions, and store policies.
- Complete management training modules, including orientation, leadership, and recruiting.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Perform operational tasks including merchandising, freight handling, and store maintenance.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete assigned special projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Marketing, or Psychology.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift or maneuver up to 50 lbs.
