About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in retail operations and management. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how the business runs and what it takes to succeed in a leadership role. This is a paid position designed for students interested in a long-term commitment with the company.
What you'll do#
- Perform daily sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering and maintaining merchandise displays.
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual, covering Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating your teammates, and tracking performance results.
- Provide weekly progress updates and reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Develop your skills in recruiting, merchandising, and leadership through active participation in team operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university, focusing on Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- Ability to perform all essential job duties, including the physical requirement to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- A flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.
