About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern role at The Buckle, Inc. offers a hands-on introduction to retail business management. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn how the business functions while gaining experience in sales, merchandising, and operations. What you'll do#
- Perform sales and operational tasks, including cashiering, register procedures, and merchandise display.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating the team, and tracking results.
- Lead and motivate the team by monitoring departmental performance through company tools.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to Area and District Managers.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management from a four-year college or university.
- You have the physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- You are available to work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- You have an interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
