About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how Buckle operates while gaining hands-on experience in leadership, merchandising, and sales. This is an on-site role designed for students interested in a long-term commitment with the company.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks like cashiering and creating merchandise displays.
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering orientation, leadership, and hiring.
- Manage a product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking your progress via Performance Tracker.
- Provide weekly reports and updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Maintain high standards for guest service across the store.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree program, specifically in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Interest in pursuing a long-term career path with Buckle.
