About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while learning the operational aspects of a retail business. Interns work closely with the Store Manager to understand how to excel in management, develop leadership skills, and gain hands-on experience in sales, merchandising, and store operations.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service throughout the store.
- Maintain and share knowledge of current sales, promotions, and store policies.
- Open and close cash registers, perform balancing tasks, and handle deposits.
- Complete Teammate Orientation and provide weekly reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Assist with merchandising tasks, including handling freight, preparing displays, and maintaining a clean, organized store.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, with a preference for majors in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Psychology.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
