About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business while contributing to the store mission of creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. You will work closely with the Store Manager to develop an understanding of retail operations and management. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Conway, Arkansas.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering and merchandise display.
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking department or company tools through Performance Tracker.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and take ownership of all required internship assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
