About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with store management to understand daily operations, sales strategies, and leadership practices. This role is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Manhattan, Kansas.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering and store maintenance.
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual, covering orientation, leadership, and hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) procedures.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete required internship assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs in the store and backroom.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
