About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to develop retail management skills while working directly with store leadership. You will gain experience in business operations, sales strategies, and team development at The Buckle, Inc. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site in Kearney, Nebraska.
What you'll do#
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating your teammates, and tracking performance results.
- Complete core training modules including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Perform daily retail tasks such as cashiering, merchandise displays, and store maintenance.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area and District Manager.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and work toward management proficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university, majoring in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
