About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the store manager to understand operations while contributing to the store mission of providing a positive shopping experience for guests. This is a hands-on role where you will balance daily sales tasks with management training.
What you'll do#
- Complete specific sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering teammate orientation, leadership, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating the team, and tracking your results.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Perform sales and operational tasks including cashiering, register procedures, and merchandise display.
- Recruit potential teammates using referrals and company resources.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program at a four-year college or university, with a focus on Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or Human Resources.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
