About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern role focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how the company operates while gaining hands-on experience in leadership and store management. This is a paid, full-time internship based in Fenton, Missouri.
What you'll do#
- Complete the Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates on the product, and tracking performance results.
- Lead and motivate the team by using the Performance Tracker tool to monitor progress.
- Perform daily sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering and register procedures.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and take ownership of all required internship assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications at a four-year college or university.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- No prior retail experience or training is required.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
